Colin Miller
(BScPT / FCAMT / CGIMS)
Colin graduated from the UBC Physiotherapy program in 1996 and began a clinical specialization in sports injury and orthopedic manual therapy. In 1999 Colin was awarded a diploma in Manipulative Therapy and became a fellow of the esteemed Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists. He is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and has acted as a clinical instructor at the School of Rehab Sciences at UBC. Colin further expanded his treatment techniques and completed his IMS training with Dr. Chan Gunn. He founded Sport + Spinal Physiotherapy clinic as a space for like minded health care professionals to promote healing, respect and support for our clients. With his free time Colin enjoys mountain biking, adventure travel and spending time with his family in Squamish.
Approach to treatment:
Colin specializes in the assessment and treatment of conditions involving joints, muscles, soft tissue and the neural tissue of the spine and pelvis. This includes all neuromuscular disorders from lumbar disc herniation to simple ankle sprains. He typically uses a combination of “hands-on” Manual Therapy, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Mechanical Traction, Electrotherapy, precise Exercise Prescription and Pilates when developing his treatment plans. Colin has also been profoundly impacted through his experiences with Vipassana meditation and always has a good book recommendation for those seeking complimentary approaches to healing.
